Social Investment
HRK's approach to Corporate Social Investment is to partner with an NPO that is focussed, effective and committed to social change. HRK would like to conduct business in an environment which is conducive to growth, and would like to support those NPOs that can assist with this.
The areas in which HRK feel strongly are:
- HIV/Aids Prevention Programmes
- The health, welfare and education of children, particularly orphans
- Feeding programmes for children, particularly orphans
- Abandoned babies homes
- Economic Development of the communities affected as above.
The HIV / Aids crisis will have a signifcant effect on the South African business environment and HRK must do it's part in helping to reduce those effects. We believe that by investing in programmes that:
• Help to fight HIV with long term interventions that result in behaviour change, and
• Helping the children who are effected to receive practical support and an education will provide them with a future,
we will be doing our part as business in support of the larger community.
HRK has chosen to partner with an NPO Indlela and provide management and financial support to them.
